Jennifer Myer

Jennifer Myer became a member of the Re:searching for 2SLGBTQIA+ Health Team in January of 2023 as part of her work with an ongoing research project studying how mental distress plays out in the graduate student experience. They are a multi-disciplinary scholar who draws on knowledge and insights from the faculties of psychology, political science, women’s and gender studies, as well as critical studies.

Important themes that tend to emerge in their own work and research are examining how the concepts of self, community, resistance, and space are conceptualized, created, and maintained. A strong emphasis and focus is placed on trans, non-binary and gender diverse/expansive communities. Outside of her work and research, Jennifer is a lover of all things games and often (though not often enough for their liking!) enjoys games nights with friends, both old and new.
