Emma Ronayne

Emma (she/her) is a student in the University of Northern British Columbia’s PhD Health Sciences program.

Emma holds a BSc (Honours) in Anthropology and MPH with a focus on Indigenous Health Studies, both from the University of Victoria. Her research is rooted in the conceptual frameworks of Reproductive Justice and the social determinants of health. Emma’s doctoral research explores sexual and reproductive health among women and 2S/LGBTQ+ people across Canada.

In her free time, Emma enjoys spending time outside, reading novels, knitting, and (newly!) rug hooking. She loves to spend time by the ocean and feels lucky to return often to her family home on Vancouver Island.
