Lori Ross

Dr. Lori Ross is an Associate Professor in the Social and Behavioural Health Sciences Division of the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto. She is the leader of the Re:searching for LGBTQ Health Team.


Lori is an interdisciplinary mixed methods scholar with a particular interest in research methodologies for social justice. In her research work, she is particularly interested in drawing from Mad Studies and other critical approaches to study mental health among 2SLGBTQ+ and other communities impacted by intersecting structural oppressions.


Outside of work, Lori spends her time being a mom, reading fiction, enjoying the outdoors, and tending to her aquarium pets. She feels immensely privileged to get paid to do work that she loves, in the service of her own community, and together with a fabulous team who are all so passionate about social justice.
